Privacy Policy
Ruptor, Inc. (“Ruptor”, “we”, “us”) runs the website at ruptor.ai (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Site collects, how we use it, whom we share it with and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Use.
1. Information we collect
The Site has no user accounts, no payments and no place to post content. We collect only the following.
Information you give us
- Access requests. When you use the “Request access” form, we collect the email address you enter and the time of the request. The form sends nothing else.
- Email. When you write to us at [email protected] or another Ruptor address, we receive your email address, your name if you sign it, and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Private console. The demo console at /console is protected by an access password that we share with you directly. Entering it does not identify you to us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics. The Site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not store your IP address. It records anonymised page views and interaction events (for example which section of the page was viewed, scroll depth, which link was clicked), together with coarse technical data such as browser type, device type, country and the referring page.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, requested URL, time, browser user agent) for security and operations.
2. Cookies and analytics
The public pages of the Site set no cookies. The only cookie we use is
ruptor_console, set on the /console path after you enter the console access
password. It is strictly necessary to keep you signed in to the console, lasts seven days, is
HttpOnly and is not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking
pixels or third-party ad networks. Because our analytics are cookieless, there is no cookie banner
and nothing to opt out of in your browser.
3. How we use information
- to answer your access request and set up a technical demo or pilot with you;
- to reply to your messages and keep the conversation going;
- to operate, secure and improve the Site, and to understand in aggregate how visitors use it;
- to comply with the law and protect our rights, our visitors and the public.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing emails to addresses collected through the Site. If we ever start a newsletter, we will ask you first.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Telegram (delivers each access request from the form to the founders as a message) and Google Workspace (our email). They may use it only to provide their services to us.
- Authorities and others when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, to enforce our Terms of Use, to address fraud or security issues, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Ruptor, our visitors or the public.
- A successor if Ruptor is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction under the terms of this Privacy Policy.
5. How long we keep information
We keep access requests and email correspondence for as long as we are in contact with you about a demo, pilot or other business relationship, and then as long as reasonably needed for our records or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 6). Analytics data is stored by Vercel in aggregated, anonymised form.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by applicable law. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request its deletion or correction; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. To exercise your rights, email us at the address above; we may ask you to confirm that the request comes from the email address concerned.
Do Not Track. Our analytics do not identify you and do not track you across other sites, so the Site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
7. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Access requests are sent to us over encrypted connections, and the console cookie is marked Secure and HttpOnly. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the small amount of information we collect.
8. Children
The Site is a business site for engineering teams and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Visitors outside the United States
Ruptor is a Delaware corporation based in San Francisco, California. Information you send us is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site or contacting us, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Links to other sites
The Site links to third-party sites such as GitHub and LinkedIn. This Privacy Policy does not cover those sites; their own privacy policies apply once you leave ruptor.ai.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use the information we already hold about you, we will tell you by email or by a notice on the Site before it takes effect.
